Just hold your thoughts right there, as after you check out the variety of CL7 Accords that turned up for our photoshoot, you might be a convert (if you haven't already been one).
Despite being never officially imported into Singapore, the Honda Accord CL7A and the CL7 Euro R were parallel imports straight from the Honda’s Sayama plant in Japan. Numerous units landed into our ports to be sold parallel to the officially distributed North American/Asia Pacific variant (UC chassis).
Fast forward to 2018 and it has been my personal observation on the roads and online classifieds that the JDM CL chassis has proven to be the more successful version of seventh generation Honda Accords, with many having been renewed in the hands of many newer owners.
Being a relatively new CL7 Euro R owner myself, I was ecstatic to chance upon groups upon groups of CL7 owners, and took on the opportunity to organise a photoshoot session for the year. With the great support of Carros Centre, the venue for the meet was set and ready.
Fast forward two weeks later… While forming the letter H was the first suggested idea for the photoshoot formation, it was more symbolic to form the digit 7 instead.
A selection of five CL7 Euro Rs were singled out for the front file due to their unique colours, the far right is in fact purple.
In the name of inclusivity, all CL Accords were invited, and it was heartwarming to see a good portion of CL7As (some in the guise of CL7 Euro R clothings) showed up.
Subtle, loud, or anywhere in between, the Accord is truly versatile.
No wings, J's Racing or an original Modulo Honda spoiler, the world is your oyster!
A shout out to Jason, driver of a red Euro R with the "Honda Accord CL7" emblazoned across the side profile of his car, for kindly sponsoring the banner.
The end product - 47 Honda Accord CL7As and CL7 Euro Rs along with their happy owners, family members and friends, probably the largest gathering of Accords in Singapore!
