Lee.Inge - Risqué Redefined

#NSFW - Our first feature model in over two years had to be explosive and it doesn't get more explosive than this.

Singapore - It has been over two years since we last had a feature model grace our pages and to kick off this reboot, we decided to invite one of the hottest models blowing up on social media! Cue Lee.Inge. You may have seen her DJing at clubs, parties, even at our 2018 9tro Alliance Meet Singapore; you may also be following her on her Instagram account, where over 81,500 followers drool (this writer included) on a regular basis.

When she isn’t DJing at the hottest venues in town or showing off her toned body in risqué modeling photoshoots, she will either be working out at the gym or choreographing new dance moves at the studio. And since we were featuring the crew from Party Bus Singapore, what better time to put all those energies together?

During the breaks in-between our photo and video shoot, we sat down with Lee.Inge to tap her mind!

Q1: How long have you been modeling and what inspired you to start?

I started modelling some time back in 2015/2016, and to be completely truthful, I did it solely for fun and never thought it would gain me any form of recognition!

Q2: You have built up an incredible portfolio, alongside a wide and impressive range, what are some of the greatest challenges you have faced (or still currently face) to get to this point in your career?

Firstly, I’m not what most people will consider tall. Many photographers whom I met for the first time would get shocked, telling me they thought I was at least 165cm tall because I looked tall in pictures. Naturally I had to work’em angles to make myself look taller in pictures!

Secondly, I’ve always been insecure about having thick thighs when I was much younger, because my peers used to call me thunder thighs. I tried hiding them with different choices in clothing and fashion, but it’s not always possible. However, I am stoked and proud that the world today has matured, women all around the world are being empowered by each other, putting those who body-shame to shame. It is important to embrace ourselves for who we are!

Q3: Who (or what) inspires you to get out of bed everyday, to get to the gym, to get to the next casting or shoot?

Me! I never compare myself to others. I look at myself in the mirror every morning, and if there is anything bothering me, I tell myself to work harder! If I am feeling strong and confident that morning, then I tell myself to keep pushing ahead! I know I can always be a better version of myself and it depends entirely on mindset. Can’t stop the hustle!

Q4: How will you describe the scene here in Singapore, as compared to other places where you've worked?

I would say it is still more conservative here in Singapore. Photographers here are more shy and less adventurous as compared to some whom I have worked with overseas. The artistic direction is also very different. I am very inspired by the Western culture and my fan base is mainly from the US as well. Having said that, there has been a shift in recent years with more photographers here embracing the Western culture and styles. On my bucket list, to spend time in the US for shoots (before my time is up!)

Q5: What were your top three most memorable shoots?

1. Shooting in the freezing cold, out in the woods and about 3 hours drive away from the city. Attire for the shoot? Only lingerie! I was freezing but it was damn well worth it!

2. Shooting in an abandoned (haunted?) house, covered in layers over layers of dust with absolutely zero light, deep in the night, being completely naked with the exception of just 5 surgical masks around my body. (Note: I am afraid of the dark!)

3. Flying to KL just to do a couple shoot with my other half! We rented a red Mercedes SLK just for it! Waking up at 6am, driving an hour to the deserted location, just to catch the morning light.

Q6: If you could send a message to all aspiring models and talent, what will your message be?

Never let anyone tell you how you should look or how you should act, be true to yourself as that is what makes you special and unique! It is okay if you don’t fit in, that is how you will stand out! We don’t need to please anyone but ourselves, as long as you’re happy with yourself, that is what is important! And of course, always be proud of who you are!

Lastly, be adventurous but always know what your limits are! Safety first!
