Singapore - Now we have done our fair share of car club meets at Carros Centre over the past couple of months with all of them held during the day so when the Vios Owners Group Singapore (VOGS) approached us to cover their Mega-Meet at 10.30pm, it was like a breath of fresh air - literally.
Gone is the intense sweltering heat, in its place is the coolness of the night sky. But holding a meet when its dark also posed a couple of challenges for the team as the lights on the roof top of Carros had a limitation to the amount of illumination they threw over certain areas of the compound and it didn’t help that there were a lot of black cars in the group too.
Thankfully the administrators from VOGS, Anthony and his crew were extremely helpful and assisted us in arranging the cars into the formation you see in our video and photos - which would have taken a lot longer if we were on our own. Massive props too to the drivers who patiently waited for their turn to enter the formation while we tried our best navigating in less than ideal lighted conditions.
Anyways, the event was a tremendous success, over 40 Toyota Vios turned up, mostly from the first and second generation and it was heartening to see that a lot of these cars have had their COEs (lifespans) renewed for another 10 years! We asked Anthony and his team of admins to fill us in about the club.
