Infringement of intellectual property.

9tro - OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT (3rd February 2016)

The company 9tro Group Pte Ltd (herein referred to as 9tro) has acquired several copies of a newly established print publication (Wheels Magazine Philippines) from an anonymous source, regarding an infringement of our intellectual property/copyrights. As per the images (as seen above and below) in this press statement, the said magazine recently published a story of the Audi RS6 in their December 2015 issue.

9tro OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT #2As you may have noticed immediately after seeing them, the photos used in their article are identical to the photos we produced for our article published back on the 20th of November 2015 (in their photos used without our permission, our Editor, Jackson Toh can even be seen driving the car!)

9tro OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT #2We will like to take this opportunity to inform our readers that their publication is in no way linked to us, and that their usage of our photos are an infringement of our intellectual copyrights. In their erroneous article, the Audi RS6 is placed under the 'tuned car' category, which of course is incorrect as the RS6 is a factory produced vehicle direct from Audi AG and Quattro GmbH. Furthermore labelled under a 'track test' sub-header, which again is incorrect unless the roundabout at the Fountain of Wealth in Suntec City has been transformed into a track.

We have scrutinised the article as best as we can, and noticed that the writer mentioned he got the opportunity to test drive the car because it belongs to a fellow Filipino residing in Singapore. Again this is a misrepresentation of our story as the test-drive unit that we took pictures of belongs to Audi Singapore.

Aside from audaciously editing away our watermarks from our photos, no credit were mentioned/given to our Photography and Editorial Team.

That said, we have already informed the relevant parties on the matter and are currently awaiting their response. 9tro is also conducting an independent investigation on how our photos came into the possession of Wheels Magazine Philippines and will be keeping our readers in the loop on further developments on this matter.

We take a serious view on intellectual property rights. Any usage/reproduction/syndication of our content without our explicit written consent will be deemed as an infringement.

We will also like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends, fans and supporters who have been sharing and enjoying our efforts and sacrifices, in creating quality content for everyone.
